Seaport
Description
In this nocturne, the horizon is reduced to a luminous band, while vertical drips rise and fall like masts, reeds, or distant signals. The dark upper register evokes a cosmic or maritime space in which scale becomes uncertain: the viewer could be looking at a harbour at night, a field of lights, celestial chart. The layered splatter gives the black ground a granular depth, so that the image appears suspended between atmosphere and matter. Its poetics depend on restraint: a few brilliant linear accentsanimate an otherwise austere field.

History
It is truly a visual metaphor for how darkness blurs the boundaries between familiar things, transforming heavy masts into something fragile and natural.
